Week 8
Mood:  happy
Had another sonogram this morning. I'm 8 weeks now. The baby is doing fine and getting bigger! We can now see a definite shape, the head, a torso, 2 liitle arms and legs. There is a little something to worry about though: bleeding. I had stopped bleeding but I'm spotting sometimes. The sonogram shows some blood in the uterus, right next to the amniotic sac. The spotting is kind of brown and the doctor said it's old blood and it's drying up. But she said I need rest. Not to stand for too long and to keep my feet up. So no more work. You don't know how relieved I am that the baby's ok. Couldn't sleep all week! The doctor asked us if we considered getting an amniocentesis (I'm 35). We are considering it but still have to think about it because there is a chance of miscarriage with that test. Any one has any opinion on getting an amnio? Let me know!

Isnt is awesome how tiny they look at 8 weeks? I had a sonogram at 8 weeks cause they saw a cist on my ovary. They figured since they were checking that out they might as well check out the baby and there it was. So tiny. It looked like a little stubble, but it was too cute. Its awesome just knowing that that little "stubble" is gonna grow into this amazing human being.

Anyway, I thought I would share all that. I have been reading your blog for awhile and I am happy for you that you finally got pregnant. Its an amazing experience to go through, enjoy every moment of it cause it will go fast. I am not pregnant now, but I was obviously was, and my little "amazing human being" just turned 2 on monday. They grow so fast.

Anyway, congrats!

CONGRATS!
I also have PCOS,and have had 3 miscarriages and one still-birth. Hubby and I found out recently as well that I will never be able to carry a child full term, and was told to give up hope. We're currently looking into adoption and plan to start the process in May 2005,after hubby returns from military deployment and we get settled into our new duty station. :)
