Excited & Nervous
I couldn't sleep. It's 6:20 a.m. Since midnight I've been waking up every hour! Everytime I looked at the clock it was one hour later. How weird is that? It's never happened to me before. Then I had a dream that my breast were leaking milk and my mucous plug was coming out too. This is strange for me too because during my whole pregnancy I never had a dream that had to do with pregnancy. I had alot of sex dreams but no pregnancy dreams, lol! So I guess this means my mind and body is preparing for the baby's arrival, or that I'm just excited that the time is near. But I'm also nervous because of the c-section and because this is my first baby. It's going to be so life changing after it's just been hubby and me for 6 years. Actually we've been together for 10 years altogether but married for 6. We've waited so long for our little one and now he's finally coming! I hope I can get everything right!

Week 34: Diabetes blues
Mood:  lazy
It's week 34 and baby is around 5 pounds. My next appointment is Thursday so I won't know until then exactly how much he weighs and if my blood tests were ok. After week 35 I'll be a little more relaxed because that's when the baby has an excellent chance of surviving if he decides to come out early. But so far the pregnancy has gone well, thank God, except for the diabetes thing. Today my blood sugar was out of control because I made the stupid mistake of putting a little jelly on my toast this morning. My blood sugar was so high it made me sleepy, then I took my medication, and a couple of hours later my blood sugar plunged really low, and anyone with diabetes knows that when it's too low it's dangerous because you can go into a coma. I was feeling dizzy & faint so I knew something was wrong, then I tested my blood and it WAS low. I immediately drank some fruit juice to bring it back to normal and had something to eat. It's no fun having gestational diabetes. You have to be so careful. They say gestational diabetes usually goes away after you give birth. I hope so.

I just looked out my window and there's a snow storm! When I saw the news this morning they said rain, not snow! Will winter ever end????

Worried!
My NST's were fine, the baby's heart beat was between 155-160. I had to lie down for an hour though, I couldn't wait to get out of there! I'm worried though because with my 24 hour urine test they found some protein in there, so they took some blood to do some tests. Protein in the urine could be a sign of preeclampsia. I hope I don't have that. It's pretty scary. They told me to do the daily fetal movements to keep track how much the baby is moving everyday. He's moving ALOT. Usually around 5 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 4-6 p.m, then 8-10 p.m. He's getting bigger & stronger than ever and feels like he wants to come out right now! My little karate kid, lol! Hubby had a dream that he saw the baby press his face against my stomach and he saw that the baby's features looked like mine. He said he had my eyes, lips and cheeks! Hubby hardly remembers his dreams so I'm impressed when he remembers them. As a matter of fact the last time hubby told me about his dream was about 4 years ago when we were trying to have a baby. In his dream I was telling him that I was pregnant and I was crying with happiness. And you know what? That's exactly how it happened.

My baby's weight
Mood:  cool
Baby Noah is 4 pounds 7 ounces. I'm guessing he'll be 8 lbs, 6 oz when he's born and hubby is saying 7lbs, 6 oz. Maybe hubby's right. I was just thinking he will be big because of my diabetes. People with diabetes usually have big babies. Tuesday I go to get the NST done. The non-stress test is based on the principle that the baby will have an increased heart rate when it moves. On Friday when I had my sonagram done, I couldn't see his face. He was turned the other way! At around 1 a.m. this morning he was poking his elbow or hand right on top of my belly button! It was a little uncomfortable. And I could see his big round head moving all around so I think he turned around again.

I think the only things we have left to buy are the crib and stroller. I even started packing my hospital bag! The nesting thing is definitely kicking in now. I have this urge to clean the whole house today! LOL!

Week 32: Getting anxious
I'm feeling so anxious now. It's 32 weeks now but I'm so tired and I can hardly wait until my baby is here. I get out of breath when I walk and I'm so HUGE! I'm already thinking about which weight loss plan I'm going to do after having the baby. I'm definitely not comfortable at this weight. Tomorrow I have an appointment for a sonagram to see how the baby is doing, his weight, his heartbeat, etc..I think he is definitely bigger. I have to go in the morning, after a snow storm! The snow storm is starting this evening and ending early morning. 6-8 inches of snow, just when we thought it was over. Well, I'll just put on my boots and get on the train. What else can you do? I'm used to it, every winter the same thing. Well, the baby is due in April, which will be spring already. I hope it will be a beautiful, warm sunny day when we bring him home.
